How Knock Box Studio Works

Step 1: Contact Knock Box Studio...

Use the SUBMISSION FORM to securely upload your information to the Knock Box Studio. Here, you may upload your music files and session information such as bit rate, sample rate, tempo, etc. The primary music and supporting music files should be sent without drums and should be in WAV, AIFF, or MP3 format. The primary file represents the music on which the drums will be recorded. A supporting file would be a music file with drums, previous drum or percussion track to be used as an example, sheet music, or a click track if there are any tempo changes in your music. Also, if you like the drum sound on a particular song, please send that file as well. Select your options and submit the form to Knock Box Studio. Daren Pfeifer will then contact you directly to get started with a pre-production meeting.

Step 2: Recording Your Live Drum Tracks...

At this step, a $25 deposit is due.
Once the deposit is confirmed the recording of your live drum tracks will begin! This deposit is non-refundable and covers the session's initial set up. This deposit is credited to the final cost of the session. During the recording process, you will receive a direct line of communication with Mr. Pfeifer primarily by phone. Instant Message and e-Mail are also available. You can even listen to the session in real time via Skype! After a full take has been recorded, an MP3 of your live drum tracks will be uploaded to the Knock Box Studio server for your password-protected downloading. This track is raw with no mastering or effects and is suitable for reviewing purposes only. Step 3: Approve and Receive Your Custom Live Tracks...

Upon your approval, the full payment (minus the deposit) is due. Once the payment is confirmed, you will receive a link and password to your pro-quality live drum tracks. Your tracks are securely downloadable at your convenience and yours to keep. If you require, a CD or DVD will be mailed to you with the files for an additional cost of $5.00 to the Lower 48 US States, or $10.00 to Alaska, Hawaii and to International destinations.
